Overview
Olive Garden is the flagship restaurant chain of Darden Corporation with over 800 locations across North America.

Challenge
Olive Garden appetizer table tents, menus and collateral design was visually disjointed with select menu and table top displays inconsistent with brand standards. Menu versioning for price and legal variations was handled manually and prone to delays and errors. A new initative was launched to elevate awareness of Olive Garden's complete bar offering in 10 test locations, to service this, they needed a name, logo and specialized menu.

Goal
Created cohensive look to tent cards, menus and to-go packaging to align with current branding and initated integration of XML technology across design and database applications to simplify complex menu versioning process. Designed Saluté bar beverage menu and art directed professional drink photography in house $5K below budget saving valuable time and resources.

Results
Appetizer orders increased by 15% over prior quarters and menu versioning process timeline decreased by 40%, significantly increasing speed to market. Alcoholic beverage sales increased by 22% across Olive Garden locations testing the Saluté bar prototype.
